We are qualified to provide you with opinions on patent, design and trademark infringement. Also, many of our attorneys are qualified to stand in the court with an attorney at law as representatives for a party. We also provide services in:
carrying out searches for good prior art among Japanese patent and non-patent literature for use in opposition or infringement proceedings,
drafting and prosecuting applications for plant variety protection,
drafting and reviewing IP licensing agreements, and
conducting customs procedures for stopping import or export of goods infringing patents, trademarks or copyrights. |
Aside from our Japanese client base, we also have a large client base in foreign countries. We file and prosecute a large number of Japanese applications for major US and European companies. In biotechnology areas, we represent several universities such as University of North Carolina. We have attorneys who have advanced degrees from U.S. universities and native English speakers with technical background to help our attorneys and staff communicate well in English in addition to a corps of in-house English translators.
